The Weather in Maine

there is this old saying that if you don't like the weather here in the notheast then all you have to do is wait a min or two. For the last two days we have been experiancing record breaking heat. it is unheard of to be in the middle to upper 80's this far into sept. However, the weather men (who are constantly wrong) are telling us it should be "normal" temps by the weekend. Normal this time of year is 65 during the day and 45 at night. Cant wait! I know you cant tell but that was sarcasm- one of the services I offer up daily.

I live in a 200 year old home that I bought a year ago. I love my old house. For those of you who have never lived in an old house, you should give it a try just once. One of the great things is the character that they have- and I can tell you- this one is overflowing with character. LOL. things like floor boards that squeak and doors that don't open or close. We are in the process of renovating this one. so there is always a wall that is torn open with wires hanging out or things that are put together to "get us by for now" as my husband says.. and girls- we all know that is one of those statements we were trained by our mothers to not believe.

I Am back! who would have thought it?? anyway it is nice to see the weather here in Maine change, the trees are starting to turn colors. I will get a pic of them this weekend for you. The growing season is just about over- we are now turning to apple season. It is time to put the garden away and say good night.

Wow- that was a bit sappy! I was thinking last night that it is great to have a spot to just talk. to just get the thoughts and feelings out (much cheaper then a therapist too!) HA!

when your on your way into work in the morning (yes i am one of those dreaded 9-5ers that trek in to the city) that you are just like a cow? ever watched them at dinner time? they all get in line and the one in front leads the way to the barn for food. ever feel that way- like your just wandering in line behind the leader??
